Replacement products are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or 30 days, whichever is longer. Warranty coverage does not apply to technical services offered by AnchorLift.

Limitations & Exclusions

  • Coverage applies only to products manufactured by or for AnchorLift, identified by the “AnchorLift” or “Salt Gear” trademark.
  • Warranty is void if:
    • Equipment is repaired or altered by unauthorized personnel
    • Product is damaged by improper installation or misuse

In addition, this Limited Warranty does not cover:

(a) Damage resulting from use with non-AnchorLift products.

(b) Damage resulting from accident, abuse, misuse, flood, fire, earthquake, or other external causes.

(c) Damage resulting from operating the product outside the permitted or intended uses described by AnchorLift, or from using an improper voltage or power supply.

Windlasses should not be used to haul the seabed to the boat or drag the boat to the anchor. This will cause the windlass to be submitted to pressures outside its specified limits which will damage the windlass or cause the shaft to bend. A bent shaft is not covered under warranty.

If your anchor and/or ground tackle becomes stuck on an object below the surface, you should tie the rode to a cleat, releasing any pressure to the windlass unit and then use the boat to break free of the object. The proper way is motoring up to the anchor and use the boat to break loose the anchor.

Never use the windlass as a cleat or tie off if being towed.

If the boat is heavy for its size or is commercially used, please go up a size when choosing a windlass.

No agent, reseller, or employee is authorized to modify or extend this warranty.

No dealer, reseller, or employee is authorized to modify or extend this warranty. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder still applies.
